Walking For Zack Hamilton

In September of 2007, the Hamilton family – Heather, Paul and their son Ty – celebrated the birth of twin boys, Zack and Jayden.

Zack’s birth was the beginning of a challenging journey for him and his family, because he was born with a congenital heart defect known as Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Drainage (TAPVD). At two and a half weeks old, Zack underwent a procedure to repair his heart. Zack’s survival at that time was the first of many miracles in his life.

In March 2011, the Mini-Skool community shared the Hamilton family’s grief at the loss of Zack. On Thursday May 19, 2011, Mini-Skool will hold its annual Walkathon for the SickKids Foundation. This year, we will be walking to honour Zack and to support SickKids, the hospital that did so much for him.

As the Hamilton family can tell you, SickKids is a vital part of our community and it needs your support.
