We are a licensed Ontario child care centre providing daycare for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, junior and senior kindergarten and school age children. We have two school age child care programs: one at our main child care facility, and a satellite program at Charles Howitt Public School.

Richmond Hill Child CareOur before and after school programs service children from grade one to six who attend the following schools: Adrienne Clarkson Public School, Charles Howitt Public School, Roselawn Public School, Ross Doan Public School, St. Anne Catholic Elementary School and St. Charles Garnier Catholic School. For families who are moving or wish to help friends and family find the Mini-Skool center nearest to them, Mini-Skool’s school finder is a fast and easy way to find the closest Mini-Skool center.

Our Richmond Hill child care centre has been operating at this location for the past thirty-seven years. We are a purpose-built child care facility with five playgrounds (one for infants only, and two are used exclusively for toddlers.) We have one large playground for our three to four year olds with a water play helicopter, sand boxes, a huge bike path, shady areas and open space to run and play.

We offer an excellent early childhood educational program for our three year olds, over and above our play-based curriculum which is reflected on our lesson plans. Our junior and senior kindergarten program is based on the Jolly Phonics philosophy. You will be amazed when your four year old shows you how they can read to you. Math is also a big part of our kindergarten curriculum which provides a solid foundation for grade one.

Our Richmond Hill child care center includes Discovery Areas which are an important part of our enhanced early childhood education programs. All aspects of early childhood development are encouraged through hands-on activities.

A huge advantage of Mini-Skool child care centres is our ability to incorporate the academics into our play-based curriculum, low teacher-to-child ratios and small group sizes. Neighboring schools have told us that they are able to identify the Mini-Skool children when they begin grade one due to their academic abilities and general knowledge base.

Mini-Skool is both child and parent friendly and the staff have had an excellent training in taking care of children and teaching.

To enhance our curriculum, and because everyone leads very busy lives, we offer a 4-Sport program offered by TenTen sports,  Stretch-N-Grow which offers a fitness and nutritional classes and we  have yoga classes.  Our parents are happy that their children are allowed to experience extra curricular activities at Mini-Skool, allowing them to have their evenings and weekends free for much needed family time.

We look forward to showing you around our Richmond Hill child care centre. Please give us a call at 905-881-0710 to set up an appointment. We generally have a waiting list, so be sure to get your name down as soon as possible and not to be disappointed!

“The Mini-Skool Management is pleased to report that the police investigation found absolutely no evidence of wrongdoing, including no evidence of tampering with wipes at our Bramalea Center. Furthermore, the police investigation confirmed that Mini-Skool is a safe environment for children, as no child was ever in danger of being harmed. We are grateful to the Peel Police for their thorough investigation and timely response. Mini-Skool would like to thank all of our families and staff for their patience, cooperation and for believing in Mini-Skool’s 49 years of nurturing young children, into becoming successful individuals.”
