Walkathon for SickKids 2011

The month of May is here and that means it’s time for our annual Walkathon for SickKids Hospital. SickKids has touched the lives of many Mini-Skool families. On Thursday, May 19th, we are walking in honor of Zack Hamilton, whose life story illustrates the remarkable difference SickKids can make. On this special day, Zack’s parents and brothers will be joining us.

Parents, family and friends of children attending Mini-Skool are encouraged to sponsor a child in the Walkathon. The pledges Mini-Skool kids collect will allow SickKids to continue their vital work developing better diagnostics and better treatments to improve the lives of children and their families.

Thanks to your generosity and kindness in the past several years, the Mini-Skool community has raised over $300,000 for a number of special organizations including the SickKids Foundation and other children’s charities.

“The Mini-Skool Management is pleased to report that the police investigation found absolutely no evidence of wrongdoing, including no evidence of tampering with wipes at our Bramalea Center. Furthermore, the police investigation confirmed that Mini-Skool is a safe environment for children, as no child was ever in danger of being harmed. We are grateful to the Peel Police for their thorough investigation and timely response. Mini-Skool would like to thank all of our families and staff for their patience, cooperation and for believing in Mini-Skool’s 49 years of nurturing young children, into becoming successful individuals.”
